IHOP KC to Shaftesbury UK outpouring

On November 11, during a 9:00am class of first-year students, led by Allen Hood and Wes Hall at International House of Prayer University (IHOPU), the Spirit moved in their midst with physical healings, deliverance, and a spirit of joy. That class, on November 11, continued for more than 15 hours. The word spread quickly, and over 2,000 people spontaneously gathered in the auditorium from all over the Kansas City area, as deliverance and physical healings increased. The meeting continued well past midnight. Recognizing that the Spirit was moving, the leadership of IHOPU canceled all classes for the next few days so that we could gather to receive all that the Spirit wanted to do.

This outpouring has continued since and many people have been healed and many have made commitments to follow Christ for the first time.

We are excited to have Wes Hall, Laura Hackett, Cory Asbury and a team of musicians with us for the 5th and 6th of November 2010 ministering with all that God has poured into them.

Tickets are free but you will need to register in advance. Meetings will start at 730 pm on both evenings. We have lots of space and can accomodate 1100 people (300 will be in an overflow) so don't worry about space!

Wes Hall has been part of the leadership team of the International House of Prayer - Kansas City since 2000 and a faculty member of International House of Prayer University (IHOPU) since its inception. Formerly a practising solicitor in the City of London, Wes now focuses his energies on intercession for revival, and teaching a variety of Bible classes at IHOPU. In November 2009, the Holy Spirit powerfully visited a first semester class that Wes was teaching. Since that time, Wes has given leadership to what has become known as the IHOPU Student Awakening, leading extended evening meetings four nights a week resulting in thousands of testimonies of physical healing, salvation, personal transformation and spiritual renewal, both locally and internationally. He has a passion to see God's people gain a clear understanding of their identity in Christ overflowing in lives of radical obedience to Jesus in every area of society. Wes is married to Carol and they have three young children.

Cory Asbury has been a worship leader at IHOP-KC since 2005, when the Lord gripped his heart with a vision for night and day prayer and worship as he attended an internship in Kansas City. Says Cory, "after six months I realized that this was what I was made for - to sit before Him and love Him." He and his wife, Anna have since dedicated their lives to prayer, fasting and worship, for the raising up of houses of prayer throughout the earth. Cory is a prolific songwriter and features on a number of compilation worship CDs as well as, "Holy" - his joint release with fellow IHOP-KC worship leader Matt Gilman. Cory's first full-length solo album, "Let Me See Your Eyes" was released to much acclaim in 2009. Cory's prayer is that through his songs, hearts would fall more in love with Jesus, and that a deep longing to know and love Him more would be awakened. He carries a strong anointing to bring people into God's presence and has been a regular worship leader at the IHOPU Student Awakening services.

Laura Hackett is a worship leader and prophetic singer at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOP-KC) and an accomplished songwriter. A graduate of the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri - Kansas City she is also part of the faculty of the Forerunner Music Academy (part of IHOPU) where she teaches voice classes. She and her family have lived in Kansas City for the last 17 years, and helped start IHOP–KC in 1999. Growing up in the house of prayer, she was surrounded by music, and songwriting came naturally for Laura as she would sit at her piano, sing the Word and listen for the Spirit. Her songs have now been featured on four different compilation albums and she released her first full-length solo album in 2009. Laura's songs carry an anointing to draw people back to God’s heart and several have become anthems for the IHOPU Student Awakening, where she has been a regular worship leader.
